How do I pay my rent or other charges?

You may pay online using a bank account, debit card or credit card through your KIC Tenant Portal.  We accept checks and money orders in the office along with credit or debit cards.  We do not accept cash in the office.

What do I do if I lose my keys or parking pass?

Call us at the office and we can replace them for a small fee.

What is considered a facilities or maintenance emergency?

Water leaks, the smell of gas, your heater, range or refrigerator stops working, or anything else which may result in property damage. When you call after hours, always leave us a call back number on our emergency line!

What do I do if I lock myself out?

Contact your resident manager; if they are not available, contact the office. If it is an after-hours call it will result in a minimum $250.00 charge.

What if someone is parking in my spot?

Park off-site and contact your resident manager. If the resident manager is unavailable, contact the office during business hours with the vehicle description and license plate information.

Help, my water or power is out! What should I do?

Contact the City of Arcata or PG&E to see if there is an outage. If there are no reported outages, contact our office.

Can I hang items on the walls of my apartment?

We believe that your apartment should feel like home, so you may decorate as you wish. However, the walls must be restored to the original move-in condition when you move out.

What can't I put on my deck or patio?

We expect your deck/patio to be kept neat and tidy at all times. Please do not store trash, recycling, screens, BBQ's, appliances, etc. on your deck/patio.

The washer or dryer in the laundry room is not working correctly, what should I do?

Please report the problem to the office as soon as possible.

What can't I put in the garbage enclosure?

We pay for household garbage and recycling only. Do not leave items such as unwanted furniture, electronics, appliances, large boxes, or any other non-household items in the garbage enclosure.

What do I do if I have an issue with a neighbor?

Call the office to speak with a property manager. For assistance after hours, contact your resident manager. In case of an emergency, contact the Arcata Police Department or dial 911.
